Manuel Martini
Architecture Photographer

I actually studied law. However, I find my sense of purpose much more in interacting with architects and designers, in engaging with architecture, the (built) environment and craftsmanship. In a perfect world, I would probably have studied architecture. But I haven't (yet). For the moment, I have nevertheless found my place in architecture and nature.

In times of visual sensory overload, I see it as perhaps my most meaningful contribution to create fewer, but very consciously selected photographs that appeal emotionally and give pause. Photographs that don't have to hide in the competition for architectural awards and that will be figureheads for a studio or a project for decades to come. Less consumerism, more long-lasting values. If necessary, I also work with analog large-format cameras and the most archival of all photographic materials: film
