First Outdoor Shooting with the Sinar Norma

We have now been trying and learning for half a year, and the old Sinar Norma camera is finally starting to perform well.

The pictures were taken in nature about five weeks ago, which posed challenges including lots of light, dark areas, and yes - we even had water under our feet (from the Küsnachter Tobel).

I know this region very well, having jogged in this forest for over twenty years. It took some time to get the developed film back, and then we had to scan it.

I dare to say that ”analogue photography is real photography”. No high-tech camera can correct mistakes; a beautiful picture can only be achieved when everything is done right. We didn't know whether the shots were good until a few days after we took them, once they were developed and now scanned. There are still a few areas we can improve in. The old lens is not as sharp as it could be. Also, the choice of film is not without compromises. It's a lot of fun, but it also takes a lot of patience - which is something I appreciate.

My goal is to create iconic, timeless images--not snapshots. Photographs of the mountains; later, we will venture towards oceans, whether it be yachts or waves.

I am curious to see where this project brings us in the future, influenced by Artificial Intelligence.

Mountain Photography

We have completed the first shoot in the mountains and the films are developed. They look promising, and we can't wait to get high-resolution scans.
