Piz da la Margna
The Piz da la Margna, also called the Shield Guard of the Upper Engadine, is a massive mountain that overlooks the first large lake of the Engadine, the Silsersee/Lei da Segl, whose shores reach as far as the settlement of Maloja.
This image was taken from a helicopter, in the morning hours of January 2023 during a stormy day.
The Piz da la Margna is called the shield guard of the Upper Engadine. The image is in a very high resolution and can be printed up to a width of about 8 meters, with impressive details.
This picture is part of the collection with a limited edition of 15 copies. Each of these photos are produced in close cooperation with the customer.

Many small details make the difference
It is a long way from an idea, imagination to photograph a 3-8 meters wide strong image and prepare it so that it inspires and motivates us every day for many years.
The challenges lie in the detials: from the planning, the weather, the light, being at the right place at the right moment with the right equipment. Back in the studio the selection, editing, printing on the appropriate fine art paper and finally the frame.
Only when all these steps are precisely coordinated with each other we are from an idea a unique timeless work.

For over ten years I have had the privilege to help design living and working spaces, it is every time a very beautiful experience to look at a picture in its new environment and feel its power.Together with the customer we carefully choose the appropriate fine art paper to reflect the tonal range and level of detail of the photographs to the fullest extent.The appropriate frame is the crowning of the image and the connection with the space.
Signed and Limited Edition
The edition for this photograph is limited to 15 signed fine art prints and two prints as artist print which will not be sold.
Each image and certificate will be personally signed by Jürg Kaufmann, and each production will be recorded and registered in the Edition Directory.
The name of the buyer or collector will only be communicated to the outside with his consent.
