Raising my level of photography

Experiencing Venice through the eyes of a photographer. One of many ways to discover a place you haven't known before. This journey was particularly special for me, because I had the chance to explore the city with a true insider. A photographer who does not only look through the lens, but who leads those who are interested to everywhere there are wonderful subjects on one hand, and historically fascinating buildings and exhibitions on the other; where the participants can expect culinary highs, where personal contacts with locals open doors that without the network would remain closed. This is what Jürg Kaufmann offers with his workshops and photo journeys. The themes, Ocean, Mountain, Venice, and so on, are all opportunities to immerse yourself in photography of a particular kind. Jürg Kaufmann manages to raise picture-seeing and picture-making, as well as the technical handling of the material, to a new personal level.

A look at Jürg Kaufmann's homepage is absolutely worth it. Looking at his images, you may better understand what I have tried to describe. His affinity for composition, for details, and for the Fine Art treatment of his work is extraordinary.
