Daily photography outings lead you through the golden forests, serene lakes, and majestic peaks of the Engadin. Locations such as Lej da Staz, Val Rosegg, Silsersee, and Diavolezza offer rich textures, dramatic light, and contemplative silence. You’ll enjoy fine photography as a way of slowing down, seeing deeply and unlock your creative potential.

Participants need to already have some photographic level and know the ins and outs of their photographic equipment.
This workshop requires a certain level of fitness. To best be participating in this retreat you should be able to walk confidently for a few hours/day. -
Cameras & Lenses
Equipment: Please bring your standard photography equipment. You'll have the opportunity to shoot with a range of lenses from wide angle to long lenses. Recommended lenses for DSLR 35mm cameras include:
24-70mm for versatility.
70-200mm for tighter shots.
Tripod:
On the land a sturdy tripod is beneficial, especially when using long lensesOur Equipment:

Recommended Clothing:
Weather Conditions: in October can be experiences humid conditions with temperatures typically ranging from 0°C to 12°C.
Goretex Jacket: A waterproof, breathable jacket will keep you comfortable and dry.
Sturdy Footwear:
Good quality walking shoes are essential for navigating the terrain in the Engadin comfortably and safely. -

We’ll guide with several modules into the art and technique of landscape and nature photography, including:
In-depth image composition sessions tailored to landscape photography
ETTR (Expose to the Right) technique and mastering histogram use
Effective use of graduated and neutral density filters
Working with polarizing filters to enhance clarity and contrast
Managing white balance and color temperature using Kelvin settings
Practical meteorology: how to read satellite imagery and go beyond basic weather forecasts
Creativity – a key module focused on unlocking your creative potential
Optional: Introduction to aerial photography, including an open-door helicopter flight (additional costs apply)

Bring your Partner: Guests are welcome to bring a partner to share the weekend experience. For a surcharge of CHF 650, partners may enjoy the same spa and dining program, while having time to relax and explore St. Moritz at their own pace.
